Dr. Jay Calvert attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN for his undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology.
He then moved to Manhattan and attended Cornell University Medical College on the upper East Side of New York City.
The Founders of the Rhinoplasty Society wanted to create a meeting and group of surgeons who would foster rhinoplasty education and research while communicating with each other the latest techniques and methods for success.
It was there that he realized that Plastic Surgery was his calling and thus, he achieved admission into the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Health Sciences Combined Plastic Surgery/General Surgery residency program.
He spent two years in the lab and wrote two patents with his co-researchers at Carnegie Mellon University in the Robotics Institute.
Dr. Jay Calvert is an international speaker on plastic surgery attending conferences and seminars all over the world.
He has been seen on national television on shows such as The Tyra Banks Show and The Doctors TV show.
He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Rhinoplasty Society, and a variety of other medical/surgical associations.

Millicent Rovelo, MD, FACS Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Millicent Rovelo is a double board-certified Plastic Surgeon specializing in all forms of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery including tummy tucks, mini-tummy tucks, breast lifts, and breast augmentation.

Dr. Rovelo’s own journey began with an undergraduate degree from the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Rovelo graduated from UCLA’s rigorous pre-medical program with a degree in Physiologic Science.
Dr. Rovelo then went on to pursue her medical degree at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC).
From there, she went on to complete a five-year General Surgery residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.
After completion of her residency, she became board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Rovelo then returned to Los Angeles to continue her surgical training with a second residency.
She was accepted into the highly competitive Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at the University of Southern California (USC).
During this residency, she received training in a wide breadth of plastic surgery including aesthetic surgery, reconstructive breast surgery, abdominal reconstruction, hand, and burn surgery.
After completion of her Plastic Surgery residency, Dr. Rovelo went on to become board certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Rovelo has plastic surgery offices in both Beverly Hills and Whittier, CA. Her Whittier practice is part of the PIH Health System and has a strong emphasis on breast reconstruction and post-bariatric body contouring.
As part of her ongoing focus on education, Dr. Rovelo also cohosts the Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Podcast.
